Meth 101 Presentation
As part of our prevention mission, the Meth Action Coalition makes school and business presentations in order to educate students, and the general community, about the dangers of meth and other harmful drugs, including the drug of alcohol. The presentation typically includes:
- Powerpoint slides that provide general information about all drugs of abuse, and their effect on young people.
- Personal testimonies from two or more recovering drug addicts. This is the most powerful and compelling part of the presentation. Ours is not a "scared straight" approach, but honest testimony from one whose seeds of addiction were sown in the early teen years.
