Meth 101 Presentation
As part of our prevention mission, the Meth Action Coalition makes school and business presentations in order to educate students, and the general community, about the dangers of meth and other harmful drugs. The presentation typically includes:
- Powerpoint slides that provide general information about meth
- Comments from a law enforcement official who provides his or her perspective of the meth problem
- Personal testimonies from two or more recovering meth addicts. This is the most powerful and compelling part of the presentation.
- Q & A
During the 2008-2009 school year, we presented to over 4,000 students at these schools:
Bridges Academy
Cascade Middle School
Crook County High School
High Desert Middle School
Skyview Middle School
Summit High School
Bend High School
Mtn. View High School
Second Chance School (middle and secondary)
Terrebonne Community School
If you would like to have a presentation made at your school, business, or organization, please contact Police Officer Mike Maunder at mmaunder@ci.bend.or.us or Barbara Stoefen at barbcs@bendbroadband.com. We offer our presentations at no cost.
